Archway Contracting

A tile accent strip is a row or column of decorative tile placed in a section of other tile to add style and design.  The accent strips above involve 3 pieces, a pencil piece on the top and bottom and a mosaic strip in the middle.  In the sections below are some more examples and ideas of tile accent strips.

 Tile accent strips are an excellent way to spice up an ordinary shower.  They are relatively easy to install, and can be made of inexpensive tiles.  However, the more intricate you get, the more expensive the tile will be.

This picture depicts a vertical accent strip with glass mosaic tiles surrounded by a natural stone tile.  This shower was remodeled by Archway Contracting, a tile contractor in Brooklyn Park, MN.

 Typically, these accent strips will be about 3 inches wide and will run horizontally at about eye level in the shower.  However, these accent strips can get wider and may run vertically up a wall.  Sometimes entire walls will be used as accents.
